She was predeceased by: her parents, Freeman McIver and Arlivia Minter; her husband Hugh E. Morgan; her stepchildren, Roger Lee Morgan, Bryant Morgan, Dwight B. Morgan and Johnnie Faye Small; her stepgrandson Dwight B. Morgan, Jr.; and her siblings, Patricia Chalmers, Maxine Razor and Jerry Minter.
She is survived by: her sister Joyce Minter Adewale of Atlanta, GA; her son Kory Chalmers of Atlanta, GA; her stepsons, Leo Percell and Cliff Percell of Sanford, NC; her stepdaughter-in-law Sheron B. Morgan of Sanford, NC; her goddaughters, Stacy Douglas of Sanford, NC and Tiffany Douglas of Durham, NC; and her close friend Jenella Bowditch of Mooresboro, NC. She is also survived by step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
