It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Ragland (Brevard, North Carolina), born in Centreville, Alabama, who passed away on May 19, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Ragland and Ethel Ragland Pearson; his stepfather Richmond Pearson; and his brothers, Lester Ragland (Leck), Jack Ragland and Dick Pearson.

He is survived by: his wife Lucille Goodman Ragland; his children, Dale Ragland, Billy Ragland and Rhonda Ragland Burris (Randall); his grandchildren, Danielle, Samantha, Joshua, Brice, Brady and Joel; his great grandchildren, Anthony, Roman, Jax and Abbigail; and also, Jon and Jennifer Messer.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rosman High School. 749 Pickens Hwy., Rosman, NC 28772, marked for the Bill Ragland Memorial Fund to assist at-risk student-athletes or Calvary Baptist Church, 101 Osborne Road, Brevard, NC 28712.
