He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Phillips and Bertie Ashe Phillips; and his brothers, Tillman and Carroll. He is survived by: his wife Annie Hall Phillips; his siblings, Theodore and Mildred Galloway; and his children, Merle (Deborah), Doris Hall (Robert) and Tammy Shelton. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
