He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Velvia Gray and Julia Banther Gray; his daughter Jennifer Yoder (Jeremiah); his grandchildren, Abby, Silas and Heidi Ball (Brad); his great grandchildren, Brayden, Claire, Brody and Cassie; and his siblings, JoAnn Gray, Betty Ann Gray Owen, Vel Gray Jr., Charles Odell Gray, Denise Gray Middaugh and Kenneth Darrell Gray. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in remembrance of Roger to one of his favorite charities, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
