She was predeceased by: her husband Thern Cassell; her daughters, Phyllis Griffiths and Gloria Hendershot; her grandson Michael O'Kelly; her great grandchild Tre Hendershot; her great great grandchild Aliyana Cassulis; and her parents, Paul Case and Elizabeth Davis Case.
She is survived by: her siblings, Evelyn Stephens of Asheville, NC, Barbara Fedock (John) of Asheville, NC and Mack Case (Carol) of Asheville, NC; her son-in-law David Griffiths of Brevard, NC; and her daughter Kathryn O'Kelly of West Virgina.
