He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lamar Hawkins and Kathleen Poor Hawkins; his brothers, John Herbert Hawkins, Thomas Avery Hawkins and Terry Glen Hawkins; and his parents-in-law, Ammie Gray "Pat" Harbin and Karl Thomas Harbin.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Harbin Hawkins; his son Ed Hawkins (Wanda) of Greer, SC; his granddaughter Karlee Hawkins Ware (Tyler) of Suffolk, VA; and his great grandchild Phoenix Avery Hawkins.
