Amy Averill Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2020, at the age of 103, Amy Averill (Brevard, North Carolina), born in Rochester, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Burrows and Mary Alice Hall Burrows; her former husband Ogden C. Mills; her husband Damon R. Averill; her son Terence L. Mills; and her brother Harry S. Burrows.

She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey O. Mills (Bonnie) and Deborah M. Kaminin (Andrei); her granddaughters, Tracie H. Gelbstein (Jonathan), N. H. and Melissa M. Kaminin; and her great grandchildren, Jessica and Lucy Gelbstein.

Donations in Amy's memory may be made to Transylvania County Historical Society for the care of the Allison-Deaver house or to a charity of choice.
