He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Ann Balen Solesby; his children, Deborah Solesby Nixon, Danny Lee Solesby (Toni) of Clayton, NC and Thomas Lee Solesby (Laura) of Black Mountain; his siblings, Irene Burgin (Homer) of Marion and Don Solesby (Rita) of Fairview; and his grandchildren, Rachel Solesby, Bradly "Alex" Solesby (Maranda) and Jaden Solesby.
