It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jean Nix Lewis of Black Mountain, North Carolina, who passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Nix and Helen Reeves Nix; and her husband Franklin D. Lewis. She is survived by: her son John Lewis; and her siblings, Billie Murphy (Ronnie) and Bob Nix. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
