He was predeceased by: his wife Sally Kooistra Ransford; his brother Chuck Ransford; his parents, Paul Ransford Sr. and Ruth VanDerMeer Ransford; and his stepmother Honor Ransford.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kristin Hiemstra (Hans), Rebecca Champion (Lee) and Julie Leon (Aaron); and his grandchildren, Haley, Zoe Hiemstra, Paul, Luke Champion, Hunter and Cooper Leon.
