We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2021, at the age of 99, Merilyn Adelaide Shelley Kaplan (Black Mountain, North Carolina), born in Cairo, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Volender Shelley and Elizabeth Shelley; her husband Dr. A. N. Kaplan, Jr.; her son Vollie B. Bieler; and her siblings, Fred, Hoke, Wade, Doris and Amaryllis.
She is survived by: her daughter Merilyn L. Honeycutt; her grandchildren, Matthew A. Bieler, Jennifer M. Cleary and Jonathan N. Honeycutt; and her great grandchildren, Alec, Anna, Taryn and Sophia.
