He was predeceased by: his brother Michael Penley. He is survived by: his wife Linda Gail Crawford Penley; his children, Heather Schoff (Stephen) of Maggie Valley, NC and Chris Penley (Tiffany Craig) of Black Mountain; and his grandchildren, Thomas of Black Mountain, Sara Craig of Black Mountain, Stephen of Black Mountain, Tori of Black Mountain, Kayla Penley of Black Mountain and Emory Thomas of Hendersonville.
