It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Alexander Stamey (Black Mountain, North Carolina), who passed away on June 26, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Loran Stamey and Gertrude Griffith Stamey; and his siblings, Melvin Stamey, Glenn Stamey, Katheryn Howard, Pauline Pressley and Hazel Stamey.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Stamey of Canton, NC; and his son Vervin Stamey of Hendersonville, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
