She was predeceased by: her parents, Maxine Austin McFee of Black Mountain and Ambrose "Mac" Wesley McFee, Jr.; her husband Van Hammett; her grandparents, Irene, Luther Rhodes, Zade Ponder, Emma, Ambrose McFee, Sr. and Those; her sisters, Eva Millar (Sam) of Garner, NC and Terry Dorlan (Brian) of Black Mountain, NC; her nieces, Shannan Olsen (Rob) of Coats, NC and Samantha Millar of Garner, NC; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Sean of Wilmington, NC, Dylan Millar-Sarvis of Wilmington, NC, Austin Quinn of Garner, NC, Lillyanna of Coats, NC and Mackenzie Morgan of Coats, NC; and her friend Susie Nesbitt of Ridgecrest.
