She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Dalton Smith and Eunice Robinette Smith; her former husband John Richard Hipps; her husband Charles E. "Jack" Brown; and her siblings, Hubert R. Smith, Robert V. Smith, Eva S. McLeister and Edwin B. Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Laura Radell (Mark) and Susan Barr. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
