James Nelson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Nelson of Bethel, North Carolina, who passed away on December 30, 2022 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances W. Nelson and James A. Nelson Sr. of Bethel; his father-in-law Robert T. Newsome; his niece Jennifer R. Evans; and his cousins, John Nelson III, Mitchell, Glynn and Flynn Warren.
He is survived by: his wife Beth Nelson; his mother-in-law Dorothy P. Newsome; his children, James A. Nelson III (Jay), Suzanne Nelson Jones (Zachary) and McKenna Nelson; his siblings, Jacqueline N. Ragland (Ron), Dr. Joseph A. Nelson (Catherine), Jeffrey A. Nelson (Tracey) and Jordan A. Nelson (Katherine); and his sister-in-law Sandra N. Sheckells.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 2, from 4-7 pm at St. Peter Catholic Church, 2700 E. 4th St., Greenville. (Face masks are suggested.).
