He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jesse Rudolph Respess and Marie Carter Respess; his spouse Kathryn "Kitty" Wofford of Spartanburg, SC; his son Lance Respess of Pantego; his granddaughter Alexis Matkins of Washington; his sister Donna Burbage (Gary) of Bath; his sister-in-law Diana Respess of Bath; his brother Respess, Jr.; and his daughter Dayna Matkins.
