He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Alexander Michal and Nancy Daughton; and his siblings, Barbara Ellen Michal, Joseph Alexander Michal Jr. and Paul Douglas Michal.

He is survived by: his wife Debrah Dingee; his son Christopher Michal of Woodsville, NH; and his granddaughter Kathryn Michal.
