She is survived by: her parents, Schley Kermit and Zula Angel Hedgecock; her spouse Bert Brooks; her son Michael Scott; her daughters-in-law, Christine Noe Brooks of Beaufort and Gina Brooks Hailer of Beaufort; her grandchildren, Mitchell West Brooks, Meredith Rayne Brooks and Michael Reid Brooks; her sister Myrna Hedgecock DeShazo of Orlando, FL.; her husband Bertie Monroe Brooks; and her son Bertie Monroe Brooks, Jr..
