With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Benjamin Calvin Cannon Sr. of Beaufort, North Carolina, born in Halifax, North Carolina, who passed away on February 7, 2023 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his father Leon Cannon; his siblings, Irma Petersen, Joel Oliver Cannon and Douglas Cannon; and his half-brother Johnny Cannon.
He is survived by: his son Benjamin Cannon, Jr. of Portsmouth, VA; and his siblings, Jennie Slocomb of Newport, Nellie Crostic of New Bern and Billy Boyd Cannon (Janie) of Beaufort. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
