We are sad to announce that on September 10, 2019, at the age of 87, Annie Hewitt Lawrence (Beaufort, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Melton "Mel" Lawrence Sr.; her parents, Alonzo Simpson and Lannie Simpson; her brother Albert Lee Hewitt; and her grandson Shane Andrew Lawrence.
She is survived by: her sons, Mitchell Lawrence (Eura) of Beaufort and Barry Lawrence (Vanessa) of Beaufort; her brother Edward Earl Simpson (Randi) of Newport; her grandchildren, Leslie Kriger (Noah), Lanie Lawrence, Jay Lawrence and Jamie Lawrence; her stepgrandchildren, Jamie Byrd, Dawn Humphries (Ken), Ashlyn Plear and Gunnar Lawrence; her great grandchildren, Alex Plante, Hunter Lawrence, Brooke Lawrence, Jordan Kriger and Nicholas Kriger; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Logan Byrd, Taylor Bryd, Jesse Humphries and Sammy Humphries.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Crystal Coast Hospice House at P.O. Box 640, Newport, NC 28570 or to First Free Will Baptist Church, 1947 Hwy 70 E, Beaufort, NC 28516 in memory of Annie Hewitt Lawrence.
