He is survived by: his wife Mary Simpson; his children, Brenda Wright of Fayetteville, Quenetta Simpson of Fayetteville, Phyllis Simpson of Fayetteville, Pertonya Nix and Garrison Simpson, Sr.; and his siblings, Mae Webb of Fayetteville, Stella Perry and Anthony Simpson of Raeford. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
