She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Surcey and Clara Dunn Surcey. She is survived by: her husband Gibson Spell; her son Ashley Spell (Christie); her siblings, J. E. Surcey, Rastus "Eugene" Surcey (Opal) and Sarah Lou Evans; and her grandchildren, Nathan, Taylor Shea and Abagail.
