He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Craven and Myrtie Stout Craven of Seagrove, NC.; and his siblings, Resal, John Edward, William, Kermit, Don and Ada Ruth Weatherly.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Richardson Craven; his sons, Larry D. Craven (Carol) of Seagrove and Randy L. (Janie) of Raleigh; his granddaughters, Dr. Jennifer Craven of Greensboro and Julie Craven of Raleigh; his godchild Alissa of Seagrove; his stepgrandchildren, Ben (Alicia Southern) of Randleman and Chris (Samantha) of Winston-Salem; his great grandchild Haley; his godchildren, Grant, Finley and Garrett; his brother Jack Craven of Franklinville; and his sister-in-law Kittie C. Slaughter (Dan) of Madison Georgia.
