He is survived by: his wife Diana Cox; his daughters, Melessa Cox Thomas (Leonard) of Asheboro and Jennifer Cox Garner of High Point; his siblings, Wilhelma Poole (Bobby) of Asheboro, Calvin Cox (Darlene) of Seagrove and Roy Cox of Portsmouth, VA; and his grandchildren, Joshua Garner, Lauren Garner and Anna Garner.
