He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cyrus Harris and Lettie Patterson; his adoptive father John Franklin Coltrane; and his siblings, Michael Harris, Sonny Harris, Maxine Harris Curtis and Ann Graves.
He is survived by: his wife Wendy Coltrane; his children, John Ridley (Kenyetta) of Greensboro, Reta White (Jerry) of Siler City, Evette Caviness of Greensboro, Katina Ridley Brown (David) of Greensboro, Mary Howard (Antwan) of Albemarle, Bryant Coltrane of Albemarle, Kendra Brown of Greensboro, Tori Coltrane of Liberty and Ryan Coltrane of Ramsuer; his stepchildren, Crystal Wiker (Billy) of Franklinville and Justin Jameson of Myrtle Beach; his siblings, Cyrus Harris Jr., John H. Harris, Theodare Harris, Barry Harris, Lavernon Harris and Francis Ann Wade; and his aunt Rosa Lee Patterson. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
