It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nelda McKissick Hayes (Asheboro, North Carolina), born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on April 14, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Houston McKissick and Wilma McDonald McKissick; and her daughter-in-law Sheree Hayes. She is survived by: her husband Robert Alvis "Bob"; her children, Charlie Hayes (Suzanne) of Asheboro, Wanda Baker (Anthony) of Rogers, AR, Kenneth Hayes of Pea Ridge, AR and Kathy Dawson (Jim) of Asheboro; and her siblings, Hugh McKissick (Carole) of San Marcus, TX and Sharon M. Hall (Danny) of Corsicana, TX.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19, a private family service will be held.
