Janice Christine Swaney Pack Obituary

Janice Christine Swaney Pack, age 55, of Asheboro passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Wesley Long Community Hospital. Mrs. Pack was born in Davidson County on December 12, 1964 to Baxter and Mattie Mae McDowell Swaney. She was a 1983 graduate of Southwestern Randolph High School. Janice was formerly employed with Sara Lee, and upon their closing, became employed with Arrow International/Teleflex.

She attended Pleasant Union Community Church. She was preceded in death by her father, and her sister, Phyllis Swaney. Janice loved working in her flowers, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Janice will be greatly missed by her fur babies, Autumn and Mitzi. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Tim Pack; daughters, Christina Wagner and husband Wayne of Denton and Stephanie Kinton and husband Richard of Coleridge; grandchildren, Hunter, Abigail, Mollee, Myles, Skylar, Fallon, Daegon, Bannon, and Adalynne; mother, Mattie Mae Swaney of Denton; mother-in-law, Betty Pack; sisters-in-law, Rogenia Smith and husband John, Christina Powers and husband Eli, Deborah Thompson, Judy Billings and husband Richard, Rebecca Owens, Beverly Kern and husband Ken, Sandra Pack, Harriet Johnson and husband Michael, and Amy Matthews and husband Tim; and nephew, Jacob Barnes and wife Corrie.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 12:00-1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro and other times at her home. Funeral services will follow on Sunday at 2:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Derrick Britt officiating. Burial will be held in the Pleasant Union Community Church Cemetery in Denton.
