James Reid Nance Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Reid Nance (Asheboro, North Carolina), who passed away on December 4, 2019 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Anderson and Annie Bell York Nance; his wife Dorothy Shaw Nance; and his siblings, Ollie Nance Woodell, Gurney Nance, Charlie Nance, Wid Nance and Bernice Smith.

He is survived by: his children, Sherrie Nance of Durham and Randy Nance (Kim) of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Anderson McCord, Alex McCord, Jessica Young (Troy) and Mauressa Sweatt (Terry); and his great grandchildren, Jaxon Young, Terry Jr. Sweatt, Alisyn Sweatt and Braxton Sweatt.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009.
