He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Marie Lefler Burroughs and Clyde Wade Burroughs; his wife Katholene Drye Burroughs; and his brothers, Clyde Burroughs Jr., Lacy Burroughs, Howard Burroughs and Eugene Burroughs.
He is survived by: his son Michael Burroughs (Kim) of Asheboro; his grandsons, Jonathan Maness (Laura) of Asheboro, Aaron Maness (Natoya) of Raleigh and Kevin Maness (Sesily) of Sanford; and his great grandchildren, Damion, Rhylea, Avery and Ryan.
