He was predeceased by: his parents, William Everette Hunt and Claudie Tero Trotter Hunt; and his siblings, Guy Hunt, Reed Hunt, Arnold Hunt, John Hunt, Coy Hunt, Robert Hunt, Raymond Hunt, Jerry Hunt and Nellie Jane Hunt.
He is survived by: his wife Illa Wilson Hunt; his children, Ronald Hunt (Donna), Ricky Hunt (Doris) of York, SC, Pamela Sulier (Don) of Rock Hill, SC and Sandra Rowe of Rock Hill, SC; his siblings, W. E. Hunt (Paulette) of Asheboro, Emma Thomas of Asheboro and Mary Ann Green (Lee) of Seagrove; and his grandchildren, Jacob Hunt (Jessica), Katherine Hunt, Sadena Hunt, Amber McIntosh (Jim), Ricky Hunt II (Kristi), Matthew Carter (Ashley), Anthony Carter (Rachel), Dustin Jones (Megan), Ashley Jones and Lisa Gale Daugherty (Mike). He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
