He is survived by: his wife Deborah "Debbie" Johnson Luther; his daughter Dawn Dixon of Chapel Hill; and his siblings, Deborah Nance of Asheboro, Penny Spencer (Allen) of Asheboro, Johnny Mack Luther of Asheboro, Michael Luther (Carolyn) of Asheboro, Walter "Pete" Luther (Janet) of Asheboro and Timothy Wayne "Tim" Luther (Jeanie) of Asheboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
