He is survived by: his children, Donna Kivett of Asheboro, Terri Staley of Ramseur, Jimmy Sheffield (Martha) of Asheboro and Scott Sheffield (Tammy) of Ramseur; his grandchildren, Michael Evans, Michelle Chriscoe (David), Kim Evans, B. L. Staley, Danielle Sheffield, Daniel Sheffield (Dana), Cindy Hayworth (Steve), Chris Sheffield (Tina), Sonya Hancox and Richard Sheffield; his stepgrandson Christopher Biggers (Anisha); his great grandchildren, Courtney Chriscoe, Taylor Snow, Ethan, Troy Hayworth, Michael, Ashton Hancox, Cody, Josh and Dana Sheffield; his great great grandchildren, Kason Snow and Addie Hancox; and his great grandchildren, Alec and Ian Biggers.
Due to Covid-19, the family will have a private memorial service.
