He was loved and cherished by many people including: his fathers, Perry Gauze and Brady McCoy; his grandparents, Ed (Poppy) and Cordie Gauze; his siblings, Stewart Gauze, Dorothy Bentley, Mary Kohl and Marie Anders; his wife Joyce Montgomery Gauze; his children, Tammy Wolford (Opie) of Phelps, KY, Fred Gauze of Chatham, VA, Steven Gauze of Waynesville, NC, Judy Wilson (Daniel) of Sophia, NC, Nancy Byrd (Keith) of Lexington, NC and Bobby Gauze of Asheboro, NC; his grandchildren, Ashley Gauze, Shannon Gauze, Perry Gauze (Ashley), Adam Wilson (Ashley), Dee Wilson (Chelsea), Tara Steele (Jonathan), Calvin Stephens (Ashley), Erica (Wesley), Bentley Charles Perryman, Savanna, Racheal Gauze, Brad Gauze (Samantha), Brittany McKinney, Chad Gauze (Tabitha), Joshua Wolford (Claudette), Keri Madon (Brandon) and Curtis Wolford (Dinah); his siblings, Loretta Robinette of Williamson, WVA, Ellioc Gauze (Danny) of Zion, IL, Gene Gauze (Wendy) of Fancy Gap, VA and David Wolford of Pleasant Prairie, WI; and his pet Gunner. He was also cherished by thirty three great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
