He was predeceased by: his parents, John Conner and Grace Jarrell Swaney; his son Keith Edward Conner; and his brothers, Virgil Conner, Ray Conner and Roy Conner.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Coltrane Conner; his daughters, Karen Conner Burress (Ron) of Randleman and Trenda Sue Marsh; his son-in-law Kevin Marsh of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Christa Johnson (Chris), Jeremy Burress (Stephanie), Michael Marsh (Stacey), Megan Allred (Rick), Casey Conner, Miranda Marsh (Chris) and Joshua Burress (Chloe); and his great grandchildren, Nolan Johnson, Caleb, Joseph Burress, Sadie, Damon Marsh, Calvin, Bellamy Allred, Brylan, Isaiah Marsh and Zechariah.

Memorials may be made to the Greater Carolinas Region Red Cross Blood Services or Rushwood Church.
