He was predeceased by: his parents, Otus Jones and Katie Jones; his daughters, Lynn Jones Saunders and Susan Marie Jones; and his sister Billie Jones Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Kivett Jones; his daughters, Lisa Jones Hanes (Keith) of Asheboro and Kristie Jones Kearns (Rodney) of Ramseur; his sister Brenda Jones Reid; his grandchildren, Shannon Whitaker, Emily Hinesley, Luke Hanes, Haley Kearns and Kelli Kearns; and his great grandchildren, Lilly, Kenly Whitaker, Lincoln and Estelle Hinesley.
