She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Larry T. Brower; her daughter Tammy Hicks; her parents, Lester Russell and Annie Belle Medlin Russell; and her brothers, Herbert Russell and Hartsell Russell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Carol Freeman (Chris) of Seagrove and Bonnie B. King (James) of Asheboro; her siblings, Betty Lou Gilchrist of Asheboro, Mary Ruth York of Asheboro, Laura Jarrell of High Point, Hoyt Ray Russell (Louise) of Asheboro and Garland D. Russell (Carolyn) of Asheboro; and her grandchildren, Christy Freeman, Holly Hardister (Kevin), Joshua Dickens (Zaneta), Eric Hicks, Samantha Dickens, Nichole Hicks and Jacob Hicks. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
