She was predeceased by: her parents, Colon Bunting and Etta Bonkemeyer Bunting; her former husband Chuck Crowell; and her sisters, Martha Hecking, Ava Holcombe, Colleen Bodsford and Jane O'Connor.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ellen C. Joyce (Dick) of Clemmons and Jane C. Link (David) of Indian Trail; her grandchildren, David, Brad, Leigh Ellen, Lauren, Sarah, Caroline and Emily; her brothers, Bill Bunting of Asheboro and James R. Bunting of Texas; and her friend March. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
