It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alene Briggs (Asheboro, North Carolina), born in High Point, North Carolina, who passed away on May 10, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Dunlap and Stella Rose; and her husband James Graham Briggs. She is survived by: her children, Gerald Briggs (Jean) of Asheboro, NC and Kathy Briggs McKenzie (John) of High Point, NC.; her grandchildren, Kathy Graham (Paul) of Wilmington, NC, Kim Payne (Brandon) of Raleigh, NC, Kevin Briggs of Asheboro, NC, Ashley McCloy (Daniel) of Raleigh, NC, John McKenzie, Jr. and Briggs McKenzie of High Point, NC.; and her great grandchildren, Jackson Graham, Clint Graham, McKenzie Briggs, Landon Briggs, Payton Briggs, Kylah Tonkin, Stella Rose McCloy, Henrietta McCloy, Emma Payne and Mia Payne.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of their choice.
