He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Taylor Hicks and Lucille Sparks Hicks; his wife Cheryl Shoffner Hicks; and his brother Danny Hicks. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Hicks (Pamela) of Lexington, Kenny Hicks of Thomasville, Kurt Hicks (Lauren) of Trinity and Kim Wright (Denny) of Denton; his siblings, Darrell Hicks of High Point, Donna Ratchford of Thomasville, Darlene Barnes (Red) of Suffolk, Virginia and Delena Burleson of Archdale; and his grandchildren, Jordan Hicks, Jake Hicks, Joseph Hicks and Kelli Wood.
