She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Barley and Nora Barley; her former husband William "Bill" Fowler; her son Ricky Fowler; and her stepson Joe Farlow.
She is survived by: her husband David L. Farlow; her sons, Gene E. Fowler (Shelby) of Rhonda, Roy D. Fowler (Arnette) of Thomasville, Terry T. Fowler of Trinity and Randy L. Fowler (Betty) of Mebane; her stepdaughter Jewel Farlow of Greensboro; and her grandchildren, Tommy Fowler, Rodney Fowler (Lori), Dawn Parsons (Shawn), Candy Fowler, Doug Fowler, Todd Fowler, Angie Powers (Ronnie), Jennifer Locklear (Joe), Chris Fowler, Joseph Fowler, Alicia Foxx (Danny) and Kayla Fowler. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
