She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Peele and Allie Whitaker Peele; her husband Lewis Eugene "Gene" Coltrane; her son Ricky Coltrane; and her sister Verna Douglas.

She is survived by: her sons, Tommy Coltrane (Melody) and Steve Coltrane (Colleen Durham); her siblings, Harold Peele (Marie), Mildred Byrd (Ellis), Jimmy Peele and Maxine Cox; her grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell (Jamie), Jason Coltrane (Jessica), Christina Hatch, Blair Coltrane, Leslie Veach (Shannon), Katey Jenks and Jeannie Hedrick; and her great grandchildren, Timothy Jeran Rook, Coral Brianne Hatch, Vivian Faye Campbell, Alexandria Jade Hedrick, Loralye Rae Veach, Riley Elizabeth Hatch, Colton Ray Campbell, Lathan Parker Coltrane, Lawson Cade Coltrane, Arnold Christian Hedrick, Dillon Ray Veach, Savannah Nicole Hedrick, Adrian Cole Jenks, Cohen Michael Hatch, Addyson Faye Coltrane and Rylan Eli Jenks. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
