He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Bowers and Malta Adams Bowers. He is survived by: his siblings, Darrell Bowers, Rose Morgan, Shirley Edwards and Ruth DeBusk; his niece Barbara Jean Parks (Charles); and his stepdaughter Patti Buxton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
