He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Efird and Virgie Scott Efird; his wife Carlotta; his daughter Loretta Huen; and his siblings, Wayne, Max, Jimmy, Louis and Barbara.
He is survived by: his son Andy Efird (Sharon) of Albemarle; his grandchildren, Ross Efird, Holli Efird and Jacob Efird; his great grandchildren, Dakota Efird and Tyler Furr; his sister Sue Broadway; his sister-in-law Christy Taylor Hopkins (Michael) of Albemarle; and his son-in-law Charlie Heun of Albemarle.
