She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnie Haywood and Ina Haywood; and her husband Bill Skidmore. She is survived by: her children, Eric Skidmore (Trina) of Albemarle, Kevin Skidmore (Ann) of Norwood and Lisa Rhyne (David) of Clinton, TN; her grandchildren, Lauren Dermody (Robby) of Chapel Hill, Doug Skidmore (Victoria) of Maiden, Chris Skidmore (Rebecca) of Fleetwood, Cameron Skidmore of Durham, Elizabeth and Charlie Rhyne of Clinton, TN; her stepgrandson David Rhyne, Jr. of Clinton, TN.; her great grandchildren, Emerson and Rhodes Dermody of Chapel Hill; and her siblings, Dr. Jerry Haywood (Jean) of Williamsburg, VA, Kent Haywood of Winston Salem and Donna Burleson (Terry) of Mt. Gilead.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Albemarle at 202 N. Second St. Albemarle, NC 28001.
