He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Marvin Bowers and Eunice Morgan Bowers; his wife Linda "Kay" Bowers; his granddaughter Christy Kay Bowers; and his brother James Harold Bowers.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve Bowers (Crystal) of Albemarle, Todd Bowers (Tracy) of Albemarle and Randy Bowers (Krista) of Albemarle; his grandchildren, Teryn Morgan (Miller), TJ Bowers (Allison Talley), Jessup Bowers and Colby Bowers; his great grandchildren, Miles and Parker Morgan; and his sister Katherine Bowers Lambert. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
