He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard L. Brown Jr. and Charlotte Palmer Brown. He is survived by: his wife Vicki S. Fesperman; his daughter Berit Brown Alworth (Cameron); his grandsons, Jack, Duncan and Elliot; his sons, Kirk Wales Brown and Taylor Lane Benson Brown; his siblings, Virginia Brown Ingram of Myrtle Beach, SC and Charles Palmer Brown; and his children, Sara Benson Collins and Ashton Brown. He is also survived by numerous cousins and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials or donations be made to the Brown/Fesperman Children's Fund at Crossnore School & Children's Home, PO Box 249, Crossnore NC 28616; the Music Fund at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 350 E.
