He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Jackson Hinson, Sr. and Verna Maude Helms Hinson. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hinson; and his sons, Jarett Hinson, Joel Hinson (Lynn) and James Hinson (Tracy). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
