He is survived by: his wife Mary Arey of Albemarle; his daughters, Laura Arey of Statesville and Peggy Furr (Michael) of Statesville; his grandchildren, J. D. Arey (Suzanne) of Aquadale, Kimber Eury (Wesley Mounts) of Statesville and Angela Arey of Alabama; his great grandchildren, Addison, Bailey, Aaron, Aiden, Jeremy and William; and his brother-in-law Sam Clemons of Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
