We are sad to announce that on February 17, 2022, at the age of 94, Leon Cephus Frederick (Albemarle, North Carolina), born in Roxboro, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nicholas and Lelia Whitt Frederick; and his brother Marshall. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sister Mary Ellen Lunsford of Durham; his children, John Frederick of Greenville, SC, Charles Frederick (Sandy) of Asheville and Laura Averette (Brad) of Cary; his grandchildren, Brooks Frederick (Stephanie) of Denver, CO, Anna Nichols (Christopher) of Raleigh, Marshall Dobbins (Jonny) of Winston-Salem and Lydia Averette of Durham; and his great grandchild Julia Nichols.
